Quizalofop-p-ethyl is an improved product obtained by removing the inactive optical isomer during the synthesis of quizalofop. Its mechanism of action and weed control spectrum are similar to quizalofop. It is absorbed by the stems and leaves of weeds, and then conducts bidirectionally upwards and downwards in the plant body, accumulating at the top and intercalary meristem. It inhibits fatty acid synthesis in cells, leading to necrosis of weeds. Quizalofop-p-ethyl is a highly selective new herbicide for dry field foliage treatment. It exhibits a high degree of selectivity between gramineous weeds and dicotyledonous crops, and has excellent control effects on gramineous weeds in broad-leaved crop fields. Quizalofop-p-ethyl acts faster, with more stable efficacy, and is less susceptible to the influence of nvironmental conditions such as rain, temperature, and humidity.
