Chlorothalonil is a highly effective, low-toxicity, and broad-spectrum fungicide. It binds to the cysteine protein in 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde dehydrogenase in fungal cells, disrupting the cell's metabolism and causing loss of vitality. Its primary function is to prevent fungal infection, and it has good adhesion to plant surfaces, making it resistant to wash-off by rainwater. Chlorothalonil has a preventive effect on a variety of fungal diseases in multiple crops, with stable pharmacological effects and a long residual period. It can be used on crops such as wheat, rice, vegetables, fruit trees, peanuts, and tea plants to control diseases such as wheat scab, early and late blight, leaf mold, spot blotch in tomatoes, downy mildew and anthracnose in cucurbits, as well as peach brown rot, scab, tea anthracnose, tea moss disease, net blotch, peanut leaf spot, rubber tree canker, downy mildew and black spot in cabbage, grape anthracnose, gray mold in eggplants, and scab in oranges. 

MudyBio's Chlorothalonil 98.5%TC is a raw material for the processing of pesticide formulations and must not be used directly on crops or in other places.

Mode of Action	Non-systemic, broad-spectrum, foliar action with some protectant properties. Acts by preventing spore germination and zoospore, motility. Multi-site activity.

Toxicity	Acute oral LD50 for rats: >10,000 mg/kg; for mice: > 3,700 mg/kg; Acute dermal LD50 for rabbits: 1,000 mg/kg; Acute inhalation LC50 for rats: 4.7 mg/L (for 1 hour). It has a strong irritant effect on the conjunctiva and cornea of rabbits' eyes, but it is not sensitive to human eyes.
Use	A fungicide with stable effects and long residual activity applies to wheat, rice, vegetables, fruit trees, peanuts, tea plants, etc. It controls wheat scab, vegetable early/late blight, leaf mold, spot blotch, downy mildew, anthracnose, fruit tree downy/powdery mildew, peach rot, scab, tea anthracnose/moss disease/net blotch, peanut leaf spot, rubber tree canker, cabbage downy mildew/black spot, grape anthracnose, potato late blight, eggplant gray mold, orange scab, and serves as a wood preservative.
