Dinotefuran is a neonicotinoid insecticide, it is characterized by its contact and stomach toxicity, strong root systemic absorption, rapid effectiveness, long duration of 4-8 weeks , and broad insecticidal spectrum. It demonstrates exceptional control efficacy against piercing-sucking mouthpart pests and exhibits high insecticidal activity even at very low doses. It is primarily used for controlling aphids, leafhoppers, planthoppers, thrips, whiteflies, and their resistant strains on a variety of crops such as wheat, rice, cotton, vegetables, fruit trees, and tobacco leaves. Additionally, it is highly effective against Coleoptera, Diptera, Lepidoptera, and Homoptera pests, as well as household pests such as cockroaches, fleas, termites, and houseflies.

Toxicity	The acute oral LD50 for male and female rats is 2450 mg/kg and 2275 mg/kg, respectively; for male and female mice, it is 2840 mg/kg and 2000 mg/kg, respectively. The acute dermal LD50 for both male and female rats is greater than 2000 mg/kg. It has no teratogenic, carcinogenic, or mutagenic effects. Dinotefuran is also highly safe for aquatic organisms. Fish toxicity tests have shown that the LD50 for carp exposed to dinotefuran for 48 hours is greater than 1000 mg/L, and for water fleas, it is also greater than 1000 mg/L.
