Fluazifop-P-butyl  is a herbicide obtained by removing the inactive S-isomer from the two optical isomers (R-isomer and S-isomer) of pyraflufen-ethyl, leaving only the active R-isomer with herbicidal activity. It is a systemic and transmissive stem and leaf treatment herbicide, and when processed into formulations, it has excellent effects on annual grassy weeds such as barnyardgrass, crabgrass, green bristlegrass, goosegrass, leptochloa chinensis, wild oats, and wild rye, as well as perennial grassy weeds such as reeds, bermudagrass, and paspalum. It has no impact on broadleaf crops and is a highly selective herbicide. It can effectively and safely control grassy weeds in broadleaf crops.

The dermal LD50 value for rabbits is greater than 2400 mg/kg. The 4-hour inhalation LC50 value is greater than 0.54 mg/L in male rats and greater than 0.77 mg/L in female rats.
