Pyridaben is a contact - acting acaricide. It can be used to control a wide variety of phytophagous mites. It has excellent control effects on the entire life cycle of mites, namely eggs, larval mites, nymph mites, and adult mites. It also has a remarkable quick - killing effect on active adult mites. The efficacy of this pesticide is not affected by temperature changes. Whether it is used in early spring or autumn, satisfactory results can be achieved.

Toxicity	The LD50 in male rats is 435 mg/kg and in female rats is 358 mg/kg, while for bobwhite quail and mallard ducks, it is greater than 2250 mg/kg and greater than 2500 mg/kg respectively. In terms of dermal exposure, the LD50 in both male and female rabbits is greater than 2000 mg/kg.
