Pyriproxyfen belongs to organic ethers. It is a chitin synthesis inhibitor of the juvenile hormone type and has a strong ovicidal effect. It can cause insects to lack the stimulating factors required for egg laying, inhibit embryonic development and egg hatching, or produce infertile eggs, thus effectively controlling and achieving the purpose of pest control. It has a good control effect on the sweetpotato whitefly, scale insects, diamondback moth, beet armyworm, Spodoptera litura, pear psylla, thrips, etc. At the same time, this product also has an excellent control effect on sanitation pests such as flies and mosquitoes . It can be used to control pests of the Homoptera, Thysanoptera, Diptera and Lepidoptera orders. Its inhibitory effect on insects is manifested in affecting the molting and reproduction of insects.

Toxicity	The acute oral LD50 of rats is > 5,000 mg/kg body weight. The acute dermal LD50 of rats is > 2,000 mg/kg body weight. The acute inhalation LC50 of rats is > 13,000 mg/m³ (for 4 hours). It has a slight irritating effect on the eyes and has no sensitization effect.
Use	It is used to control various public health insect pests like flies, mosquitoes, midges, ants, cockroaches and whiteflies. It also serves for flea control on domestic pets. In terms of applications, it can be used in waste dumps, residences, public places and on some ornamentals.
