Fomesafen is a diphenyl ether selective herbicide, whose preparation is effective in controlling broad-leaved weeds in soybean fields. It can be absorbed by the leaves quickly before and after emergence, destroying the photosynthesis of weeds, leading to yellowing leaves and rapid wilting and death. Rainfall within 4-6 hours after spraying does not reduce its herbicidal effect. The liquid can also kill weeds by being absorbed by the roots in the soil, while soybeans can degrade the herbicide rapidly after absorption.
