Pyribenzoxim is a herbicide that can be absorbed by the stems and leaves of plants and transported within the plant body. It inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) of susceptible plants. It exhibits selectivity and ultra-high post-emergence herbicidal activity towards rice, common wheat, and Zoysia grass, while lacking pre-emergence herbicidal activity. It is highly effective in controlling various grassy weeds and broadleaf weeds such as barnyardgrass, large crabgrass, and polygonum hydropiper, while being safe for rice and common wheat.
